WCWP 88.1FM and The Old WLIU 88.3FM
I
have always had the great pleasure of assisting two of Long Island's
top radio engineers in the business: Bobby Anderson and Mike
Erickson.
Bob's station credits include Chief Engineering services at WRCN
103.9FM and WRHD AM.
(I wish I had shots of us lowering those gigantic satellite dishes
off the WRCN rooftop in down town Riverhead... what a hoot we had!)
Mike
is currently working for Wheatstone Corporation. Our friendship
goes as far back as 1994,
when Mike worked for Sports Radio 66 WFAN in New York City, and also
evenings at
WLIM AM 1580 in Patchogue. We both had the chance to work together
again at WNYG 1440 AM in Babylon during the "Court Trustee" period.

Manic Mike
Erickson (Always In Complete Control Of The Situation!)
Our last project took place on Thursday January 11th, 2001 at WCWP,
Long Island University Radio in Brookville. Bobby, Mike, WCWP
Operations Manager Joe Manfredi and I removed the station's 15 year
old on-air board from service and replaced it with a new, state of
the art digital logic Harris Impulse console. The project took 11
hours total, but was well worth every effort. Enjoy the pictures!
